Ardie Savea has won the game for the Hurricanes, scoring on the final play.
The Hurricanes recorded their first win of Super Rugby Pacific on Saturday as they overcame the Blues 33-32.
In what was a back and forth affair, the Hurricanes came out on top in the second round of the 2022 season of Super Rugby Pacific. The Blues opened the scoring with Harry Plummer knocking one over after 6 minutes. However, the Hurricanes only a few minutes later getting the opening try off an intercept from Salesi Rayasi. The blues reclaimed the lead with a penalty and tries from Kurt Eklund and Caleb Clarke. The sides exchanged scores with the Blues leading 24-14 at the break.
The final 10 minutes was incredibly exciting as the Canes didn’t register their first score of the game until the 70th minute. Rayasi scored his second try of the game to get the Hurricanes back in it.
Rayasi only a couple of minutes later secured his hattrick with a superb finish in the corner.
Then on the final play of the match Ardie Savea ran in the game winning try as the Hurricanes ran from their own 2022. What a class score and a serious way to win a game!
