BT Sport commentator Nick Mullins has shared with his followers on Twitter what goes through his headphones during commentary.
The video clip shared was of Harlequins’ fixture against Exeter Chiefs last Saturday, with the audio countdowns and cues given by the match director and production assistant as the team sheets are revealed on TV.
Mullins shared this on Sunday:
“Thought you’d be interested to hear what we hear in our headphones during a game. The voices belong to match director Steve & production assistant Sara. When the match kicks off we also get the producer, our statistician Adrian & the referee.”

This is obviously a side of sport on TV that is not seen or heard, but has been a popular post by Mullins, providing an insight into the world of commentary, and the difficult task of being able to filter out what is coming through the headphones.
Imagine all that ..commentating and drawing at the same time …whilst winding up Ben… anyone can do it 👀
