Highlanders flanker Shannon Frizell had an embarrassing moment to forget during Friday’s Super Rugby Aotearoa match against the Hurricanes.

The All Blacks number six brushed off several tackles in the first half at Forsyth Barr Stadium and produced some lovey footwork to beat a number of defenders en route to the try line.
However in the act of aggressively slamming the ball down in euphoria, Frizell lost control of the ball and was left red-faced on the turf.

The back rower was congratulated by his teammates but following a TMO review the try was ruled out. In the end the Hurricanes left Dunedin with a 19-30 win and full match highlights are available below:
