Munster utility back Simon Zebo is one of the great characters and a player both fans and journalists love to follow.
Making his Munster debut in 2010, Zebo has gone on to become one of the most popular figures in Irish Rugby and his announcement that this season would be his last came as a real disappointment to Munster fans.
Now 34-years-old, Zebo last played for Ireland in 2017 before departing for Top 14 powerhouse Racing 92.
Munster legend Simon Zebo to retire
Returning to Munster in 2021, he would get a call-up from head coach Andy Farrell for that season’s November Internationals but would not feature in the series.
Despite this, he has been one of Munster’s best performers since returning and is in scintilating form.
Discussing his team’s upcoming BKT United Rugby Championship quarterfinal meeting with the Ospreys, Zebo was in flying form as he joked around with reporters.
One moment in particular which had everyone in stitches was Zebo playing a prank on a reporter who’s microphone was giving him some hassle!
Enjoy!
You can’t help but love Simon Zebo! Messing with a journo when his mic isn’t working! So good! 🤣
One of the game’s great characters! He will be sorely missed when he departs at the end of the season.#munsterugby #bkturc pic.twitter.com/TsrKyuaNIB
