Young All Black openside announced as Blues captain for 2022 Super Rugby Pacific Season.
Dalton Papalii has been named as Captain for the Blues in their upcoming Super Rugby Pacific campaign. Papalii has proven himself to be a huge contributor to this Blues forward pack, since making his debut in 2018.
The 12 test All Black is coming off a strong 2021 season where he enjoyed significant game time as New Zealand’s first choice number 7. However, with Sam Cane now fully recovered from a horrendous neck injury, both players will be vying for the same test position in 2022. Being named as Blues captain might be just the catalyst Papalii needs to take his form to the next level in 2022.
The Blues played the Hurricanes in their first preseason fixture on Sunday. With an amazing end to end try that is sure to get rugby fans excited for this upcoming season Super Rugby season.
