Round three of the 2023 World Rugby U20 Championship is in full swing in South Africa’s Western Cape.
So far today, Ireland defeated Fiji whilst England and Australia played out a hard-fought draw.
Currently underway is the meeting between Japan and New Zealand. At halftime, the Junior All Blacks 36 – 12 courtesy of some superb attacking play in the final ten minutes of the half.
Whilst New Zealand are in control, it was the Japanese who started the better of the two sides as they raced into a 12 – 5 lead seventeen minutes in.
The first of the Japanese tries was truly special as they sliced through the Kiwi defence to score from a midfield line-out.
