Although try scorers will always get the headlines, every now and then a moment of defensive brilliance makes fans stop and take notice.
In the fierce encounter between South Africa and Australia, Koroibete did exactly this by preventing a Springbok try from a seemingly impossible situation.
South Africa shifted the ball wide into the hands of Mapimpi who seemed set the score in the corner. However Koroibete had other ideas, and from a distance that was so far away he wasn’t in view of the TV cameras, the Australian winger sprinted across the pitch to make a miraculous try saving tackle.

Koroibete set the tone for a fired up Wallabies side who were written off by many before the game had started. The big Aussie back was extremely physical from minute one and was hitting his opponents into next week all game long.
It was a brilliant performance from Australia who went onto win the game 25-17, you can read a match report here.
