It has been a tough competition so far for Moana Pasifika, heavy defeats to the Chiefs and Crusaders might have provided some doubt as to their competitiveness in the competition. However, last night’s victory over the Hurricanes established Moana Pasifika as a definite threat to any side on their day.
Moana Pasifika number 8, Henry Time-Stowers had a strong game at ruck time with multiple breakdown steals while also managing to get over the line for a try. Experienced Samoan international, Henry Taefu came into the side on his debut for the team at inside centre. Taefu has a wealth of experience and his combination with flyhalf Christian Lealiifano served to control the game well for Moana Pasifika.
Next week , it doesn’t get any easier for Moana Pasifika. They will come up against fellow Auckland team the Blues. While the Hurricanes take on the Chiefs in Wellington.
