Major League Rugby 2022 is fast approaching the business end of its season, with several play-off spots still up for grabs.
In the Eastern Conference The New England Free Jacks have taken command of the spot by a comfortable nine point margin all but sealing top spot ahead of the quarterfinals.
Just below them however remains a tight battle for second place with Rugby New York and Rugby Atlanta.
The two met recently with Atlanta making a serious statement as they trounced New York 38 – 3 whilst playing some exceptional rugby.
Despite this blip on the radar New York have been very solid all season picking up nine wins along the way.
Alongside their wins the New Yorkers have brought us some epic highlights with none more so than in their 30 -22 win over the Seattle Seawolves two weeks ago.
Whilst being camped on the Seawolves line, New York had a great opportunity with a scrum right underneath the posts.
What followed was not just a demolition of the Seattle scrum but with it the goal posts!
The goalposts have been knocked over in today’s MLR clash between New York and Seattle 😳 #Rugby #MLR pic.twitter.com/DAewWfZLR3
