Commonplace on NFL pitches and other American sports fixtures, player microphones are a relative rarity in Rugby.
Offering a fascinating insight into what players hear and feel on the pitch, the player mic always offers up gold dust for rugby fans.
During last weekend’s epic United Rugby showdown between Welsh side Cardiff and South Africa’s DHL Stormers, Cardiff star Ellis Jenkins put on the mic.
The content that was picked up was nothing short of exhilarating as Jenkins and his teammates closed out a tight victory over the URC’s most successful side.
In the short 1.46-minute clip, Jenkins and his teammates are shown closing out the last-minute victory.
The clip itself is a great insight into how vocal and influential Jenkins is to the Welsh side.
