Antoine Dupont displayed this sublime piece of skill during their clash with Ireland last Saturday.
France beat Ireland 30-24 at the Stade de France in the second round of the Six Nations last Saturday. This clash was tipped by many as a game that could potentially decide the championship.
Both sides came into the clash in scintillating form. Ireland beat the All Blacks in Dublin 29-20 last November, while France beat them 40-25 last November too. France and Ireland kicked off their 2022 Six Nations campaigns with wins each in the opening round. Ireland demolished champions Wales 29-7 while France had a comprehensive 37-10 win over Italy.
World Player of the Year for 2021 Antoine Dupont opened the scoring of the game inside 3 minutes giving France an early lead. However, later on in the game, Dupont threw a sublime pass to winger Damian Penaud at 33 minutes. Dupont, when he had the ball at the base of the ruck, looked both ways and threw a sublime skip pass to Penaud on the touchline. The pass cut out 4 Irish defenders allowing Penaud to break 15 metres and give an offload to centre Moefana.
The pass from Dupont was sublime and showed just a glimpse of what the scrumhalf can do.
