Auckland May 6th may not be remembered so much for the action on the pitch as the home side Blues utterly demolished the visiting Melbourne Rebels 71 – 28.
As the Ioane brothers were scoring five tries alone the true action was just about to unfold.
With both sides off the pitch for half time a pitch invader saw his opportunity as he made a run for it. Showing some dazzling footwork and brutish power he shrugged off the first security guard before being utterly flattened by his colleague.
The hit was met with a huge roar of approval from the fans and commentators a like. As the images were broadcast around the world Twitter was abuzz with admiration for the security guard.
With sports reporter Guy Heveldt commenting “A streaker has just been absolutely flattened at Eden Park, Not sure I’ve seen a hit like it. Wowee.”
Heveldt went on to say “The Rebels should sign the security guard. Hit of the year.”

Despite the rebels pitching a relative no show the Blues highlighted their credentials as they played some irresistible Rugby.
As mentioned, the Ioane brothers were utterly unstoppable as Reiko scored a hattrick whilst Akira scored a brace.
The thrashing once again highlighted the quality difference that currently exists between the Australian and New Zealand franchises. Outside of the Brumbies who have won three on the bounce against Kiwi opposition and the Waratahs victory over the Crusaders, Australian sides have by and large struggled.
