This stunning team try was scored last weekend set up by Samu Kerevi.
Australian centre Samu Kervi paved the way for the Suntory Sungoliath last Saturday. Suntory lost 34-17 to the Panasonic Wild Knights in the 7th round of the 2021/22 season of Japan League One.
The Sungoliath’s are top of conference B in the league while the Wild Knights are second in conference A. Suntory had a 10-3 after 12 minute and it only took 16 minutes for Kerevi to make a bouldering run to set another attacking platform for Suntory. They played the ball wide left from the phase set up by Kerevi’s run and some beautifully running and handling putting backrow forward Kanji Shimokawa in for the score.
The score was converted by All Black fullback Damian McKenzie for Suntory. There were some other big international names present in this game. Australian backrower Sean McMahon was at number 8 for Suntory. Former Wales centre Hadleigh Parkes, and Australian superstar winger Marika Koroibete lined out for the Wild Knights. There were some noticeable Japan internationals featuring too with the likes of Shota Horie, and Keita Inagaki in the matchday 23 for the Wild Knights.
