Here’s the antics that England fans get up to before a home Six Nations clash.
England beat Wales 23-19 at Twickenham last Saturday in the third round of the 2022 Six Nations. England has a 20 point to 12 lead over Wales 68 minutes into the game. However Wales clawed themselves back into the game scoring with a minute left on the clock to give themselves a chance.
Marcus Smith was the shining star for England as the 23 year old came away with another player of the match performance. Smith scored 18 of England’s 23 points, all coming from the tee. Wales’ indiscipline, especially in the first half, most definitely contributed to their loss on the day.
One term that is not often thrown around when describing the fun before sporting events is ‘tailgating’. The term is popular in North America especially when it comes to leagues like the NFL. The definition of tailgating is ‘to host or attend a social gathering at which an informal meal is served from the back of a parked vehicle, typically in the car park of a sports stadium’.
Tailgating definitely is a good term to describe the set up they have at Twickenham before games, as seen in the video below.

This hilarious video shows a group of people chanting a man as he claps his hands in the air. He eventually jogs forward before jumping into a big wheelie bin.
I think he could give Chris Ashton a run for his money with that dive!
@band_e @weirside2000 looks like bin diving has evolved since we started it. Good to see it’s still a local sport.
