Wasps number eight Alfie Barbeary has received widespread praise for his excellent performance against Montpellier in Friday night’s Champions Cup clash.
Two years ago one of our coaches said to me he was the most talented kid he’d ever seen play the game. I thought that was a big call. Now I know why he made that comment. Kid is the real deal. #BigFuture #ManLikeAlfie https://t.co/WspASp6XZL

The 20-year-old scored two tries and demonstrated some incredible skills at the Ricoh Arena including a lovely kick pass to winger Josh Bassett from inside Wasps’ own 22-metre line.
A @WaspsRugby try which started with a kick pass from Alfie Barbeary! 🤷♂️😂

Barbeary’s power was on show for both of his tries with strong carries from the base of the ruck while his delicate offload to set up Paolo Odogwu was a thing of beauty.
Alfie Barbeary is having a worldy of a game for @WaspsRugby! He’s 20 but looks about 40 and has ridiculous Dad strength as well as an unbelievable offloading game! #COYW
