Ospreys and Wales veteran Alex Cuthbert has enjoyed a phenomenal career at the top level.
Making 57 test appearances for Wales and one for the British and Irish Lions, the now 33-year-old Cuthbert has seen and done it all.
Thus, his presence in a young Ospreys squad offers head coach Toby Booth a key leader to help develop their emerging talent.
Playing for the Welsh URC side against Munster this evening, Cuthbert proved that he could still perform at this level as he scored a brilliant try in the 73rd minute of the match.
This try would bring his side within touching distance of not just one but two losing bonus points.
Six minutes later, Cuthbert would find a great gap down the left-hand touchline and looked set to score the all-important try.
Unfortunately, in the cruellest of fashion, the powerhouse winger pulled up with what appeared to be a pulled hamstring just inches from the line.
Getting bundled into touch by Munster fullback Mike Haley, Cuthbert could be seen grabbing his hamstring, which is a worrying sign for both the player and the club.
Haley was immediately concerned for his opponent’s health and could be seen checking in on Cuthbert in touch.
Unfortunately, the winger would leave the action straight after the tackle.
Hopefully, it was not as serious as it initially looked and he will have a speedy recovery.
