Cardiff and the Scarlets are in the midst of a tight United Rugby Championship clash, with the men in red currently leading 11 – 7 with just minutes remaining in the first half.
Having already faced each other a fortnight ago in round two of the URC, this clash is the first rematch of the 2024/25 season.
Taking the initiative in the first clash, Cardiff secured a solid 24 – 15 win on the road, with Callum Sheedy pulling the strings masterfully in a head-to-head battle with fellow Welsh international Sam Costelow.
Today’s fixture feels as though it will be as tetchy as that first contest, with little to choose between the two sides.
Such is the tension between the two sides that we have already seen a wild moment which had both sides throwing plenty of handbags around.
Sparked by a wild moment which saw Cardiff scrumhalf Ellis Bevan leap into the air before clattering into his Welsh international teammate Gareth Davies.
As you’d expect we were super surprised to see an incident being kicked off by scrumhalves before they departed the action as the big men entered the fray…
