World Cup winner Will Greenwood has teamed up with Canterbury again to produce another great video, this time documenting his recent tour to Rome with local side, Olney RFC Vets. It captures the essence of rugby, and the passion of the man.
Probably one of the most enjoyable pundits around these days, Greenwood has shown in recent years that his passion and love for the great game has never wained. As seen on School of Hard Knocks 2012 not too long ago, his infatuation with the sport is infectious.
Two years ago we featured A Day in the Life of Will Greenwood, which proved hugely popular and reminded us what a truly special sport rugby is, both on and off the field. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you do as it’s incredibly uplifting.
Will spent time in Italy as a youngster when his dad, Dick Greenwood, played for Rugby Roma. He returned there on tour with Olney RFC for a few days of drinking, bonding, and of course, rugby.
“Two Games. Four days. Carnage.. Rome. What rugby is all about,” he said.
Watch as the group of Vets get up to all sorts, including fancy dress, fines, swimming goggles, muddy bums, and Will’s homage to rugby, which as he says, is the greatest game on the planet.
