Lawrence Dallaglio has come out with a new book, Rugby Tales, that is all about the lighter side of the sport. It features legendary tales of blood, sweat, and beers, and you could win yourself a copy.
Dallaglio, a World Cup winner and stalwart for both Wasps and England, gives us an insight into the behind the scenes stories that are normally only shared amongst rugby playing colleagues and friends.
He talks with affection and humour about incidents from both on and off the field, sharing stories from the big matches, larger than life personalities, and the occasional story from the late hours in the pub.
There’s the one about when he himself was accused of being out on the town until 3am, days before a crucial match. ‘Don’t you look at me,’ he cried indignantly, ‘I got in at six.’
