The International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament took place in Cork earlier on this year. The World Cup saw 24 men’s teams competing, as well as the introduction of the women’s game for the first time ever.
Mixed ability is designed to allow those of all backgrounds and abilities to enjoy our beautiful game, with a sheer emphasis on inclusion and fun.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, which took place in June 2022, Munster Captain Peter O’Mahony said:
“I’m proud to support the International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament coming to Ireland for the first time. Mixed Ability gives everybody the opportunity to be a rugby player regardless of size, shape or ability. This is an incredible opportunity to celebrate our core values, welcoming teams from around the world to experience our legendary Irish hospitality!”
